Blue Yonder
METRICAL AND INTERACTIVE MUSIC
Guillaume Orti - alto sax, mezzo-soprano sax in F & baryton sax
Bruno Ruder - piano, bass synthesizer
Emmanuel Scarpa - drums, composition
The first part of a triptych, this trio - which could be defined with the "jazz" label if one were needed - comes straight from the world of Emmanuel Scarpa (Umlaut, Magic Malik, Radiation 10). With its share of onirism and introspection, this precisely written music - which plays with canons, mirrors, the stretching or tightening of time - is brought to light by the fabulous musicians Bruno Ruder (Jeanne Added, Billy Hart, Magma), and Guillaume Orti (Kartet, Andy Emler Megaoctet, Octurn), who lend themselves magnificently to the game of this musical labyrinth.
In the not-too-distant future, the second part of the Radical Red project will see the light of day, another power trio that will be the counterpart of Blue Yonder. In an ideal world, these two trios would come together to form The Purple Spectrum ...
